The SunGuide TMC manages Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) camera devices that generate traffic images to help traffic managers monitor conditions along our roadways. Currently there are more than 200 CCTVs deployed along Interstates 95, 195, 395, 75, State Road 826/Palmetto Expressway, State Road 5/US-1 and Card Sound Road in both Miami-Dade and Monroe counties. Traffic operators use these devices to detect traffic incidents that may affect regular highway operations. Once verified, they can deploy the appropriate incident management resources to clear the event and restore mobility. CCTVs are a critical component of our traffic management operations and are devices that help increase the safety and mobility of our regional highway system.
