District Six to Host Regional TIM Meeting
The next Miami-Dade/Broward County Traffic Incident Management (TIM) meeting will take place from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Headquarters. Local representatives from various incident management agencies will be in attendance to discuss program initiatives and provide the latest updates on projects like 95 Express Phase 2, Port of Miami Tunnel, I-595 Express and the 826/836 Interchange Reconstruction Project.
Meeting attendees will also have the opportunity to witness a unique demonstration that showcases traffic clearance procedures for large-scale events. The demonstration will simulate how emergency responders from Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, Florida Highway Patrol and the Florida Department of Transportation work together at the scene of a crash to manage incidents in a safe, timely and efficient manner. The showcase is part of the Department's performance-based Rapid Incident Scene Clearance (RISC) Program that provides interagency coordination and specialized clearance services to maintain South Florida's roadways free and clear of roadway blocking events.
